The 2017 Odyssey in Killeen Coming Soon!

Posted by Jessica McFall on Fri, Sep 23, 2016 @ 04:28 PM

Despite popular belief, the minivans that are out today are not your mother's minivan. They are more high-tech, sleek and functional than ever before, and if you're not taking advantage of all of the perks that come with owning a minivan, you're missing out! Cleo Bay Honda is expecting one minivan in particular to really stand out this 2017 model year – the 2017 Odyssey in Killeen. Why? Let's find out.

The last time the Honda Odyssey received a noticeable facelift was in 2014. Although nothing has been officially unveiled yet, there is good reason to believe that this 2017 Odyssey will be a little more updated. It has been rumored that this 5th generation Odyssey will be based off of 2016 Acura models. Unlike boxy minivans of the past, this minivan will have clean lines and be streamlined for ultimate styling.

We can expect the interior to be drastically updated, as are the current 2017 model Hondas. The interior will mirror the exterior essentially, with clean lines and a modern-feel. We have reason to believe that the HondaSensing suite will be offered, as does the 2017 Accord, 2017 Ridgeline and 2017 Fit. This minivan will be the most powerful on the block with at least 250 horsepower, which really makes it a competitive option. There have also been rumors that it will have an improved VCM like the 2016 Pilot and an All Wheel Drive option.

There is a lot to look forward to in the 2017 Honda Odyssey in Killeen! Power, versatility and an updated exterior are just a few reasons to be excited. While Cleo Bay Honda doesn't have it in stock yet, keep checking back for more updates! Or, you can always shop your 2016 Honda Odyssey options, which is still a really great choice!

Get Revved Up About the 2017 Civic Hatchback in Killeen

Posted by Jessica McFall on Tue, Sep 20, 2016 @ 07:59 PM

What is incredibly cargo-friendly, fuel-efficient and powerful? It's the 2017 Civic Hatchback in Killeen! This Civic is landing for the first time in the U.S., and we already know it's going to be a head turner. Aggressive styling, cutting-edge technology and an engine that will get you revved up are just a few words to describe this new hatchback. It still has yet to arrive in the Cleo Bay Honda showroom, but we want to be the first to show you what to expect.

The turbocharged engine in the new Civic Hatchback is something you could only dream of in a hatchback of this size. The 1.5L 4-cylinder engine has an available 6-speed manual transmission and produces an impressive 174 horsepower. And while we haven't seen an official unveiling in America just yet, the debut of the Honda Civic Hatchback at the Geneva Auto Show showed a hatchback prototype that we should expect to be very similar to the U.S. model.

According to an article by caranddriver.com, "The styling of the new Civic hatch has a slightly more conventional four-door appearance than that of the current model… To our eyes, this may be the best-realized iteration of the 10th-generation Civic styling. The model has been on sale in sedan form since last fall and is just now being joined by the two-door coupe. In making a bigger-than-usual break with its predecessor in terms of engineering and design, the new version, Honda hopes, will recapture the Civic's mojo after a couple of milquetoast designs."

In addition to the new styling and power, the Civic Hatchback will also have the latest and greatest in the automotive technology like Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth and an information display touch screen. So, as you can already see, we have a lot to look forward to in the new 2017 Civic Hatchback in Killeen! Stay tuned for updates about this new car, but until then, check out what new vehicles we already have in stock at Cleo Bay Honda.

Drive the 2017 Accord in Killeen!

Posted by Jessica McFall on Mon, Sep 19, 2016 @ 03:15 PM

The 2017 Accord in Killeen hit our Cleo Bay Honda showroom not too long ago and its already flying off of the lot! It's no surprise that this Honda car, even after 40 years of being in production, is still wowing us with new, never-before-seen features and concepts. Whether you're a long time Accord owner, or just deciding to get on the bandwagon, let's look at an overview of what you'll see in this new sophisticated Accord!

So, what can you expect in this new Accord? Well, for starters the 2017 Accord has a grille design that will make you double take when you notice the (available) LED headlights and daytime running lights. The body style is elegant and bold with angular lines and beautifully designed wheels for the perfect combination of sophistication and confidence. It's not just the headlights that are LED, the taillights are too for 360 degrees of an eye-catching vehicle.

Aside from the exterior, you have some interior features to look forward to. The interior is completely refined to make driving the Accord enjoyable. Features that were created for optimal driving comfort include the ergonomically-designed steering wheel with controls, 10-way adjustable memory seats, one-click shifting gears, a push start button, dual-zone AC, HomeLink®, and a functional center console complete with space for a tablet.

Because safety features are really what make or break a new car decision, let's talk about those. Honda really had the consumer in mind when designing the new 2017 Honda Accord in San Antonio, and it's evident in the technology that was implemented. Honda created the Honda Sensing™ suite that will alert you of dangers outside the vehicle when you might not see them yourself. In addition to the Honda Sensing™ suite, there is the Lane Keeping Assist System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation Braking System and the Road Departure Mitigation System. To put it lightly, the Accord will keep you safe in a variety of scenarios!

Lastly, there is an Accord Hybrid option for those of you who are fuel-conscious. The Accord Hybrid gets an incredible 49/47-MPG city/highway* which really makes an impact considering competition doesn't get more than 43 city MPG. The Accord Hybrid is making waves in the Hybrid category because not only is it fuel efficient, but it still gets 212 horsepower with the use of two motors! This is made possible by the fact that it can switch into Sport Mode for better acceleration.

Need we say more? The 2017 Accord in Killeen is waiting for you to take it for a spin today. Stop by our Cleo Bay Honda store today and one of our helpful associates will be happy to get you behind the wheel!

Top Family Cars in Killeen: Honda Pilot and Honda Civic

Posted by Jessica McFall on Thu, Aug 25, 2016 @ 09:48 PM

Two of our very own Honda vehicles at Cleo Bay Honda ranked as the Best Family Cars of 2016 from Parent's Magazine and Edmunds.com! We've been talking about these cars all year, but this recent award really sets in the fact just how astounding these model year cars are. Being named a "family best" is no easy task, and Honda really goes the extra mile in safety and technology features by putting family top of mind. What makes the Pilot and the Civic top family cars in Killeen?

As mentioned, the 2016 Honda Civic was selected as 1 of 10 out of hundreds of vehicles. The Civic is also named the 2016 North American Car of the Year and it's not a coincidence that it's winning so awards – the details are what make the Civic so great. Firstly, it received the highest available safety ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, as well named a Top Safety Pick+ form the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. These awards have to do with the addition of the Honda Sensing™ suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies, available on all trims, making Civic the most affordable new car in America with these advanced safety technologies, including automatic emergency braking (when equipped with optional front crash prevention).

The family-first 2016 Honda Pilot was also on the list of Best Family Cars of 2016. The Pilot is the perfect vehicle for any growing family, as it is as spacious as it is high-tech. The interior was well thought out with a total of 8 available seats, over 109 cubic feet of cargo space, as well as collapsible back seats. The Pilot really won Parent's Magazine over with the next generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure and multi-angle rear view camera. Like the Civic, the Pilot earned top safety ratings from both the NHTSA and IIHS.

2017 Ridgeline vs. New GMC Canyon in Killeen

Posted by Jessica McFall on Wed, Aug 24, 2016 @ 09:24 PM

Trucks are taking over the Killeen highways, and for great reasons! The newest trucks out there are top of the line in power, performance and features, but only one can really stand the test of time. Cleo Bay Honda is going to do a comparison of two popular trucks, the 2017 Honda Ridgeline and the GMC Canyon in Killeen to truly see which one is the truck for you!

Let's start by talking fun stuff – features. The GMC Canyon has a hard time catching up to the new Ridgeline as it lacks several key features of the new Honda truck. The Ridgeline has memory seats that holds customized positions for up to two drivers, it has one-touch power windows, a push button start, a locking fuel door to prevent vandalism, automatic dimming high beam lights, heated steering wheel, dual zone AC, in-bed audio system and more. We could go on, but there are so many features the Canyon lacks, we'd run out of time!

As far as safety goes, you're better off with the Ridgeline in this aspect, too. The Ridgeline has a standard collision mitigation braking system, a cross-path warning system, and a 3-dimensional high-strength frame that surrounds the passenger compartment for that extra measure of impact protection. Both trucks have standard airbags, rearview cameras and available all-wheel drive, but those extra safety features really make a difference with the Ridgeline!

Both have comparable fuel economy (Ridgeline 19 city/26 highway and Canyon 18 city/26 highway*) but the power on the Ridgeline definitely stands out. The 2017 Honda Ridgeline touts an incredible 280 horsepower – 80 more horsepower than the competition, the GMC Canyon. This will get you farther, faster with the Ridgeline's engine control system that can shut down half of the engine's cylinders to improve efficiency. Efficient and powerful? This truck is everything.

Amazing features, cutting edge safety qualities, power and fuel efficient, it's hard not to choose the 2017 Honda Ridgeline over the GMC Canyon in Killeen. As great as this truck looks online, it's even more impressive in person. Stop in Cleo Bay Honda today for a test drive and we'll be happy to help you get your hands on the wheel!

New Killeen Trucks: Chevy Colorado vs. Honda Ridgeline

Posted by Jessica McFall on Thu, Aug 11, 2016 @ 09:14 PM

So, you're looking for new Killeen trucks and don't know where to start? Welcome to the Cleo Bay Honda blog where we do just that – help you on your way in your new car buying process! Trucks today are much different than trucks of the past. They're more innovative than ever, more powerful than ever and safer than ever. Forget all past experiences with trucks, we're going to compare two popular, front-running trucks: the new Chevy Colorado and the 2017 Honda Ridgeline!

Comfort and Technology.

The Ridgeling RTL-E has memory seats that activate different, customized positions for the driver. But memory seats aren't the only feature that the Colorado doesn't offer, it's the one-touch power windows, the push-start button, dual-zone AC, standard adaptive cruise control, standard Bluetooth wireless (Bluetooth costs extra on the Colorado), an in-bed trunk, a 115-volt electrical outlet, and rear AC vents (a must in Texas). With all of these features combined, you'll be significantly more comfortable in the Ridgeline.

Power and Performance.

The Honda truck's 280 horsepower V6 engine is refreshing as it's quite a bit faster than it's predecessor. The Chevy truck on the other hand touts only 200 horsepower and has the acceleration more of a mid-size care than SUV. Speaking of SUVs, the Ridgeline has the cabin-feel of the SUV being wider and favoring its cousin, the Honda Pilot. This is great news for those of you who plan to cart the family around in the new truck! The new Colorado is slightly larger than previous generations, but still feels narrow and cramped.

Safety.

The 2017 Ridgeline in San Antonio is takes more safety measures than does the Colorado. The Ridgeline (RTL-E/Black Edition) has standard Collision Mitigation Braking System, which warns the driver of a potential collision and will automatically brake if the driver doesn't react to alert. The Colorado offers a warning system, but not the automated braking feature that could potentially reduce the collision. The Ridgeline also offers a cross-path warning system and a 3D high-strength frame that surrounds the passenger compartment that provides extra impact protection.

Do you see what we see? When it comes to new Killeen trucks, the 2017 Ridgeline dominates in comfort, technology, power, performance and safety! Stop on in Cleo Bay Honda and we'll get you hooked up for an exclusive test drive in the all-new Honda Ridgeline!

2016 Civic vs. 2016 Dart in Killeen TX

Posted by Jessica McFall on Mon, Jun 27, 2016 @ 01:18 PM

Ready to learn about your options for new cars? Lucky for you, you've found the Cleo Bay Honda blog where we present a fount of knowledge about new cars! Sedans are a popular vehicle not just for their affordability, but their incredible fuel economy and technology. 2016 model year cars are the most up-to-date model years yet, but are so ahead of their time! Today we're going to look closely at the 2016 Civic and 2016 Dart in Killeen!

If fuel economy and efficiency is important to you, it's safer to go with the Honda Civic in Killeen. Both the Civic and Dart have 2.0 4. Cylinder/Manual transmissions in the most basic mode, but the Civic gets 27 city/40 hwy MPG while the Dart only gets 25 city/36 hwy MPG*. In addition to better fuel efficiency, the Civic doesn't require premium gas like the Dart, which can save you 20-55 cents/gallon.

The 2016 Honda Civic has a few more safety features than the 2016 Dodge Dart. For example, the Civic has vehicle speed sensors and seat sensors that alert the smart airbags in the Civic to deploy with different levels of force to protect passengers of different sizes. The Dart's airbags deploy at full force every time. The Civic also has optional Collision Mitigation Braking System and a lane departure warning system. The Dart doesn't have either of these as an option. Both vehicles have standard driver, passenger, side-impact, and side-impact head airbags.

Worried about space in a "compact car"? The Civic doesn't feel so compact with 39.3 inches of headroom in the front, and 37.1 in the rear seating area! Holding 5 passengers, the Civic has 97.8 cubic feet of cargo room and 15.1 cubic feet of cargo room. The Dart only has 13.1 cubic feet of cargo capacity, and its passenger volume is unlisted (which we can only assume means that it doesn't compare).

We've said it before and we'll say it again – not all cars are created equal even if they are the same model year! In this case, the Civic is way ahead of the game in terms of technology and features. The Civic has front power windows, standards power locks (which the Dart has, but costs extra), standard power remote mirrors, standard Bluetooth wireless, standard HondaLink, available front heated seats, and so much more.

It's not a secret that the 2016 Civic just has an overall better offering than the 2016 Dart in Killeen! You deserve the best, so come check out the 2016 Honda Civic today at Cleo Bay Honda! Our helpful associates will be happy to schedule you in for a test drive!
